Day 1392: A Photo A Day
Blessed Good Friday & Passover!
I took this photo two years ago, right at the beginning of the pandemic. How time flies! These stormy, dramatic clouds remind me of the scripture that describes what happened in Jesus’s last moments on the cross.
Matthew 27: 45-54
Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”
Thank you, Jesus, for your powerful finished work of taking all our sin on the cross,
and opening the door for us not only become God’s beloved children, but one with You.
Yours is the greatest love story ever told!
May we always continue to experience your love and grace in a deeper way.

"Nature is full of genius, full of divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand."
Henry David Thoreau
My friend, Sharon Roberts, inspired me to make a video of the location I took this shot (Hope, NJ).
I hope it snows again soon! :-)
Hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas season!
Best wishes and prayers for a wonderful 2021!
Day 1374: A Photo A Day
It was a great cloudy day for a walk yesterday. As I was walking I listened to this awesome podcast episode, "Come Home To Yourself". I don't remember who recommended Emily P. Freeman's podcast, but this was my first listen-- and I listened TWICE! So good! If you have a tendency towards self-criticism you may really enjoy this like I did! Click here

Day 1294: A Photo A Day
While walking through our backyard today I had the amazing experience to look up and see what looked like a bald eagle flying overhead! I watched it fly over our swamp and land on a tall tree in the park next door. Evan encouraged me to walk over to get a closer view. I did and took as many shots as I could before it took off. The photos confirmed it-- a bald eagle!!
I hope we see him again! We will be listening for his call ~~ found this on YouTube. :-)
