Hobbs overseeing the spring-ery in our yard! We have daffodils from bulbs transplanted from my father's garden in Annapolis, MD
by way of my former home in DE. They're a friendly reminder of my Dad each year! I recently attended an incredible guided tour of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg, PA with the Eastern PA Branch of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. The capital is amazingly beautiful! (Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so these shots were taken with my flip phone.)
"Designed and manufactured by Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930) of Doylestown, the floor is interspersed with close to 400 mosaics illustrating the state's history, animals, industries, occupations, and modes of transportation." "When Theodore Roosevelt attended the dedication of the building on October 4, 1906, he said, 'This is the handsomest building I ever saw.'" We also got to meet and visit the studios of Jonathan Bean and Lauren Castillo, two incredibly talented, award-winning authors and illustrators at The Millworks. Here are a few of their book covers (below).
"You are a work of art!" For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].. Ephesians 2:10 AMP Pastor Diane Feola shared this scripture during her powerful message at our recent Women's Advance at CFFC.
It was one of the best women's gatherings I've ever participated in... Praise the Lord! |
