I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 1987. During my final semester I completed an internship at the St. Mary’s County Historical Society print shop. Shortly thereafter I began an 18-year career in graphic design and printing for a church involved in local and international Christian ministry, managing the design work and pre-press production for an in-house print shop serving numerous departments and outreach ministries. While there, I completed my graphic design training at Delaware College of Art and Design. In a volunteer capacity, I also created and led the "Young Artist Group", a bi-monthly art program for children aged 5-12 for children in the church. After moving to New Jersey in 2007, I received my NJ Certificate of Eligibility to teach art in public school grades K-12. I also established a freelance art business which has since expanded from paper collage and photography to include digital painting, illustration, and mixed media.
In addition to former employers Gary Whetstone Worldwide Ministries and MBNA America, my clients include AtlantiCare Health Systems, Crazy Good Digital, The Walpack Inn, Mary's Marvelous, and various private collectors.
I live with my husband and our three pets in beautiful northwest New Jersey. For info on my writing, click here.
