On the eve of our 13th wedding anniversary (Tuesday) Evan found these two baby bunnies near our front walkway!
What a precious gift... :-)
When I was working for a ministry, making a very low income in the early 1990s, my brother Doug stepped in as an art benefactor, offering me hundreds of dollars to buy art supplies to continue painting in my free time. Extremely generous and kind-hearted, don't you think?? I took him up on his offer, and asked him what I could paint for him. He said, “Something blue for my living room.” I came up with an angular pastel blues combo using fabric paints-- it was a disaster that neither of us liked, lol. I didn't know what else to do, and this blue painting was forgotten... Doug passed away in 2012, but his birthday was yesterday, June 26. He would have been 57. I made this with Doug in mind. “Blue Fire for Doug”. Have you ever created something with a loved one in mind?

My blog is 10 years-old this month!
Thank you for taking the time to read and follow my posts!
I realize this is a visual diary of sorts, and has served the purpose of keeping me creating in simple ways by sharing my current projects, life events, photos, and writing. I have loved it!
After Evan and I married in 2007, in addition to building our new lives together, we had no idea we were entering a season of tremendous stress and loss. During the next eleven years both our fathers, our uncles, my brother, my mother, my aunt, two cousins, and two beloved pets passed away. We also lost my sister-in-law, niece and nephew to divorce. Dark and difficult times to navigate, indeed. Perhaps you have you been there?
Though focusing on creative productivity was difficult, this blog was and is a way for me to share and connect. Thank you for those who have supported and encouraged me! I truly appreciate it!
Most of my posts will be also available on Instagram (@kathleen.rupff) if you prefer to connect with me there. Please feel free to unsubscribe at any time!
Again, THANK YOU for your support!!
