An amazing scripture in Job 12:7 says, “Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you." • Mac's been quite a "therapy bunny" for us, and we're learning much from him -- about unconditional love, trust, and having a positive expectation of good. • We adopted a new family member last week! His shelter name was "Tater Bug" and we renamed him "Purr-Tater". He's about 4 1/2 months old and a bundle of energy and love. He's quite a confident, fearless fellow and hopefully his transition into our home will be a success! Stay tuned... Purr-Tater

Mac and Hobbs preparing for Winter Storm Stella... Encouragement from the Word! Part of today's One Year Bible Blog reading:
Hobbs really doesn't sleep all the time... :) He's very quick for a 12-pound kitty and usually runs around like a shoot... It's just way easier to photograph him when he's still. He's my first 'boy' cat, and is very adventurous, social, and playful. I thought of nicknaming him Isaac, which means 'laughter', because he makes me laugh out loud... Every. Day. I wonder if that's why the Lord led us to adopt him so quickly after Rose passed? We definitely needed some laughter after losing Rose to cancer.
A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22 I have no doubt that the joy Hobbs brings, as well as our bunny Mac, is part of our healing process. The day we went to adopt him, we discovered two other families had the same idea. I'm so glad we got there first!! And with God's help, I hope we can be Hobbs' 'dream home'. What brings joy to you today? Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way! Jude 1-2 (MSG) |
