Purr-Tater does NOT like to be covered up, ever. I walked in on this last week realized I was witnessing a Thanksgiving miracle, LOL! :-) Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed and cozy Thanksgiving weekend! "To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant,
to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven." Johannas A. Gaertner German-American art historian, educator, writer, poet SUNDAY, November 13 - The Stable Gallery Opening Reception Thanks to all my friends and family for your wonderful support and encouragement! I wish I had taken better pictures of the whole show, but here are a few of my pieces along with my good friend Carolyn and Evan. It was a ton of fun! I loved meeting new people, fellow artists, and talking about our art! I learned a lot for the next show and we all sold some pieces. Win-win-- Hallelujah! (See Page 2B for coverage of the show by Ridgewood News) TUESDAY, November 15 - Artist Reception at AtlantiCare Medical Arts Pavilion, Atlantic City, NJ
Fellow Springboarder Emily Gilman-Beezley and I headed to Atlantic City, NJ for an artists’ reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony of AtlantiCare's new Medical Arts Pavilion. Along with many other New Jersey artists, our work is featured on their office walls, corridors and spaces as part of AtlantiCare’s Healing Arts Program. What an honor! They treated us like royalty. It was great to meet the organizer, Cheryl Broschard, in person and get to know some of the other artists. I received incredible feedback on my work—totally worth the almost 6-hour round trip!
Here are a few of the new pieces I completed in time for the show (many still in progress). My new process includes embellishing traditional and archival digital paintings with collaging of paper, beads, and quilling. We were, but happy! Here’s the Springboarders after setting up our show at The Stable Art Gallery this past Monday. Top L-to-R: Emily Gilman Beezley, Vicky Katzman, Liz Robles, Bottom L-to-R Jennifer Merz, me, Lydia Baldassarre (not pictured Dr. Joy Yoo). We hope you will join us for our Artists' Reception Sunday, Nov. 13, 2:00-4:00 pm. • Meet the artists • Enjoy Incredible artwork • Shop for the holidays ...and enjoy homemade treats! We’re expecting a crowd, so please wear your walking shoes to walk a short distance if the Stable lot is full. Click here to download information sheet. This group has been integral to my art journey these last (almost) four years.
Each of these ladies is special to me and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to show my work alongside theirs! I hope you will come enjoy the various styles and subject matter of our work! I'm honored to be part of this super-creative and talented group of women artists! If you're in the Ridgewood area, please join us for our Opening Reception on Sunday, November 13th!
If The Stable parking lot is full, other areas
to park are a short walk away. Thank you! In last year or so, one client acquired three of my digital paintings for his corporate office in Shelton, CT. With each piece, we discussed his color preferences, thoughts, and sizes. I then shared several design ideas with him, and he selected these! The goal was to come up with unique, yet harmonious and complimentary designs for his space. He opted for shiny metal prints, which have a modern, glossy, glass-like finish. I’m so happy to hear that he LOVES them and his clients and co-workers are stunned by the pop of color when they walk in his office! The selections he chose are below. (Note- This office image is for illustration purposes only, courtesy of Pixabay. Artwork is mine). Please contact me to discuss if my artwork may be a good choice
for your corporate space, office, or home! 302-293-2320 These two pieces were purchased this summer by AtlantiCare Corp., Egg Harbor Township, NJ for their health care facilities. If you're looking for art for your home or office, please contact me to discuss designs made specifically for your needs and setting. Original art, Fine Art metal, canvas, and archival paper prints available.
(302) 293-2320 Along our road at dusk-- Hope, NJ, August 2022 I find it difficult to capture the magnificence of clouds in photographs, but saw this on our way home last night. My favorite 'light' of the day is the golden glow of dusk, and loved it reflected in these clouds. "To every good,
to every flicker of stars along the pine shadows; To every tussle with lucid dusk, To every moonlit pledge, to every turn made to outleap silvery pollen, I have desired to listen - to listen - to the ripening of seasons..." Obi Nwakanma |
