 | BioKathy (Jakubowski) Rupff majored in Art at St. Mary's College of Maryland, as well as studied creative writing and poetry with poet Michael Glaser. Kathy was honored to be the only student in her graduating class to win two Superior Artist Awards, and has continued to receive recognition and honors for her artwork in New Jersey.
From 1989 to 2007 Kathy served as a graphic designer and pre-press coordinator for Victory Christian Fellowship (New Castle, DE), developing a high level of expertise in computer graphics and printing. She received her graphics training at the Delaware College of Art and Design (Wilmington, DE) and also graduated from GWWM School of Biblical Studies (New Castle, DE). Kathy enjoyed serving in the church's girls scouting program for several years and in 2006 she created and led the Young Artist’s Group-- a volunteer art program for children ages 5-12. Kathy married Evan Rupff in 2007 and moved to New Jersey where she continued her art education at The Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA. In 2008 she began selling her artwork through Tina Pearl Designs, then subsequently earned her Certificate of Eligibility to teach art in New Jersey public schools in 2009. Now involved in children's books, Kathy is delighted to combine her loves of books, creative writing and art! Kathy and her husband live with the real Fuzz 'N Bunny, Rose and Tyler, in Hope, NJ. |
